Andrew J. Gerber is an experienced trial and transaction attorney. He earned his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law, with honors, and was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 1989. He is admitted to and practices in all North Carolina State Courts, Federal District and The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Gerber is a graduate of the North Carolina Bar Association Leadership Academy and has chaired and served on numerous State Bar Committees. He was invited to and served on the inaugural American Bar Association Advisory Panel. He has volunteered as a Director of The Sawtooth Center for the Visual Arts, North Carolina Lawyers for the Arts, the Little Theater, Triad Jazz Society, the Camel City Jazz Orchestra and the Legal Aid Society. As a champion of innovation, he served as a Director on the boards that established the city's first Arts based school and the state's first charter school. He has lectured lawyers and paralegals at various continuing education seminars and served on music industry panels. As an adjunct professor at the Wake Forest University school of law, he taught the first Entertainment Law course, was the faculty advisor for the Entertainment Law moot court team, and served on the inaugural board of advisors of the Wake Forest Law School Journal of Intellectual Property. Continuing in that role for almost a decade. He was the catalyst behind and served on the legislature review panel of North Carolina's "Jackie Coogan Law" to protect the earnings of underage entertainers, models and athletes. The laws were enacted as statutes 48A-11 thru 48A-18 in 2003.
